Spinal cord injuries (SCI) present a significant unmet medical need with no current therapeutic solutions. Affected individuals experience partial or complete loss of sensation and movement, along with complications like bladder control issues, neuropathic pain, and breathing difficulties.
Solution
A neurosurgical implant (EGID device) acts as a bandage for spinal cord injuries, enhancing recovery of movement and sensation in affected rats.

EGID, our patented chitosan based hydrogen particules, is designed for nervous system repair. EGID reduces cavity formation, promotes nerve fiber regrowth, and supports mobility recovery, offering a groundbreaking solution for spinal cord injuries.
Breakthrough in Nerve Repair
Our chitosan microgel, EGID, has shown incredible results in rats, enabling them to walk again. Using MRI imaging, we've observed significant nerve growth within the injury site. This breakthrough demonstrates EGID’s potential to revolutionize spinal cord injury treatment and recovery.
